Veneers

Veneer is a thin cover of porcelain that is made to be bonded to the surface of the teeth. It is useful in closing gap between teeth, masking undesirable marking or stain, realigning crooked teeth or changing the shape of the teeth. Veneer looks highly aesthetic because of the translucent nature of the porcelain. When bonded to teeth, their physical property is quite similar to teeth. It takes 2 visits to complete the transformation using veneers. The first visit involves preparation of your teeth, taking impression and making a temporary veneer. The second visit is when the final veneer is bonded to the teeth. Some dentists place veneers made of composite resin, however, their long term prognosis is not as good but they can be done in a single visit.
