Why is thigh lift surgery done?
Thigh lift surgery is a procedure done to remove the loose skin and excess fat deposits from the thighs occurring as a result of massive weight loss. It improves the appearance by tightening the skin of the thighs as well as the buttocks and by removing the dimpled look caused by cellulite.
How is thigh lift surgery done?
This operation is performed under general or local anaesthesia.

A short incision is made that extends from the anterior part of the thigh/groin crease around to the buttock crease to raise the inner thighs only

- Thigh and buttock lift ( circumferential lower body lift)
A long incision is made that starts in the buttock crease, extends around the groin, up over the side of the abdomen, over the flank and across the back to lift the entire thigh and buttock.
- Thigh and buttock lift ( circumferential lower body lift)
- The excess skin and tissue is removed and the incisions are sutured.
- The area is wrapped with bandages to aid healing.
