Open Debriment

When the defect of gum disease is more severe where a deep pocket has formed between the tooth and gum, it may be necessary to expose tooth surface surgically by raising a gum flap so that rootplaning can be carried out effectively. This procedure may be carried out with osseous surgery to reshape the bone or bone graft for bone regeneration.
